Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ kids steal the Halloween spotlight with pumpkin heads in adorable family snap

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes took their three kids to a pumpkin patch this week, and Brittany shared the day on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 21 months, posed on hay bales and sat on carousel animals with their dad. Not every photo came out sharp, and Brittany said so herself. The outing follows an Oct. 14 press conference where the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback admitted he had forgotten Halloween until his wife asked about costumes. Patrick and Brittany are both 31, and the season is in full swing.Mahomes family spends Wednesday at the pumpkin patchBrittany, a former soccer player, posted several Stories from the outing. The first was a slightly blurry shot of the kids on a haystack among pumpkins. She wrote over it, “Out with the clear pictures,” and added a crying laughing emoji. Anyone who has tried to photograph three young children at once will understand.The other pictures were sharper. Sterling grinned from a flamingo on a carousel. Patrick stood between Bronze and Golden, who smiled from their own animals on the ride. A final shot showed Sterling posing on top of bear statues, with lights glowing in the trees behind her.Patrick forgot about Halloween until Brittany askedPatrick had other things on his mind when Halloween came up on Oct. 14. Season routines had pushed the holiday out of his head, he told reporters at a press conference.“Once you get in season, you’re focused on that week. You focus on that week, then you try to win that week and then you move on to the next week,” the Chiefs athlete said. “It surprised me. I forgot about Halloween.”Brittany was the one who brought it up. “Brittany asked me, ‘What are we going to be for Halloween?’ I’m like, ‘I didn’t even think about that,’ ” he admitted.A reporter asked what the family would wear. “I can’t tell now,” Patrick replied. “There’s options because you never know with kids. So we have multiple options. I don’t even know yet. I still have a couple of options.”Brittany keeps sharing the fall seasonBrittany has been posting fall content for weeks. On Oct. 3, she shared photos from Johnson Farms Plants and Pumpkins with the caption “It’s fall yall🍂” The kids met animals, picked apples and did arts and crafts. Other pictures showed the family together and posing with mascots.Football has been part of the routine too. She posted shots of herself and the kids cheering on Patrick at a Chiefs game, captioned “The best times🥹❤️,” on Oct. 21.
