The Buffalo Bills may have avoided a serious injury to one of their top wide receivers on Sunday.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter , D.J. Moore exited Sunday's game against the New England Patriots because he aggravated his shoulder injury, but the latest ailment isn't expected to be "a long-term issue as of right now."
Moore exited the Bills' Week 2 contest after suffering an AC joint sprain injury, but he was able to battle through the injury in Week 3, recording six receptions for 67 yards in a win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
On Sunday, Moore had just one reception for 11 yards before he was forced to exit. The Bills picked up their first loss of the season, dropping the game to the defending AFC champions 29-26.
Moore has been one of Josh Allen's favorite targets early on this year, recording 178 receiving yards and a touchdown on 12 receptions. The 29-year-old is in his first year with the Bills after spending the last three seasons with the Chicago Bears.
While Moore has been unable to recreate the success of his 2023 campaign over the last two years, he's coming off a productive 2025 campaign that saw him record 682 yards on 50 receptions.
Now in Buffalo, Moore is looking to be the missing piece that helps get the Bills to the Super Bowl.
For fantasy managers of Moore, it would be a good idea to keep him on the roster since it sounds like he's not set to miss too much time. In the meantime, though, adding another Bills receiver like Keon Coleman or Khalil Shakir wouldn't be a bad idea, since someone will have to make up for Moore's absence.
