Jonathan Taylor's Wife Ayanna Questions Colts Future in Trending Video After Buckner, Nelson Trades

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is one of the biggest names to watch on the trade market, and his wife is tired of the uncertainty.
Ayanna Taylor took to social media to give her thoughts on the situation around the Colts after DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson were traded on Tuesday.
"Is literally anyone safe on this team? ... It feels like rookie year all over again. So naturally my mind is spiraling," she said. "What does this mean for my husband and I? Do I need to start packing our bags? Are we even going to be spending our daughter's first Halloween together? Will we make it to game day, or was last week the last time my husband is putting on a Colts jersey? ...What are we going to do without Quenton Nelson?"
The Colts have already fired general manager Chris Ballard, and at 2-5, they were clearly going to be sellers ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
The firesale began on Tuesday, with Indianapolis sending Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks in return for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick. Later in the day, the Colts traded Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick.
Taylor could likely earn the Colts the biggest return of any other player. The star running back has rushed for 587 yards and an NFL-best eight touchdowns on 140 carries.
The question is whether Indianapolis is even interested in trading him. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that the Colts prefer to move on from players like Josh Downs and Grover Stewart before Taylor.
"They don't want to trade Jonathan Taylor, which doesn't mean they won't trade him, but I don't think they want to, and today I would say they don't," Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show . "But there are other players that I believe will wind up being on the move here. And I think the players you look at would be DeForest Buckner, Josh Downs, Grover Stewart on the defensive line."
The Colts' hesitancy to trade Taylor makes sense, considering they signed him to a new two-year, $44 million extension just two months ago.
But what the team wants to do and what makes the most sense might not be the same thing. If the Colts are focused on the future, trading Taylor might be the best move.
