Despite a 0-5 start to the season that has seen quarterback Malik Willis struggle, the Miami Dolphins have no plans to make a change under center.

Head coach Jeff Hafley addressed whether he would consider starting Kyle McCord over Willis after the bye week, and he gave his stamp of approval to Willis.

"We've played five games and Malik is our quarterback," he told reporters Monday.

Through five games, Willis has thrown for 849 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions, completing 56.2 percent of his passes. He had just 137 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

"It needs to be better, for sure," Haffley said. "But there's signs of it. There was flashes yesterday in that game, especially when I think about that two-minute drive at the half and some of the things he did at the end of the game where he just looked aggressive and comfortable. We gotta work through that."

Willis was a coveted free agent after a strong four games with the Green Bay Packers last year, but he has struggled to repeat his success with his new team. Despite his struggles, it sounds like his job is safe for now.
