Fantasy football seasons were potentially altered on Sunday with the injuries to Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels.

There's no official word on either quarterback, but the injuries themselves didn't look good, as both players had to be carted to the locker room in some capacity.

The right waiver-wire pickup at quarterback is now vital for the fantasy football players who thought they would rely on Williams and Daniels to put up eye-popping numbers all season.

One of the potential waiver-wire adds is Daniels' backup, Marcus Mariota, who has served in this role plenty of times in his career.

There might also be a free-for-all on the waiver wire to land Bryce Young, who has put up some of the best numbers of any quarterback through two weeks.

There are breakout stars at other positions, too, but the biggest concern at the moment is which quarterbacks are available to land in place of Week 2's injured players.

The natural, and likely the most available, replacement in fantasy circles for Daniels is Mariota.

The veteran backup quarterback put up 111 yards and a touchdown with an 11-for-16 line in relief of Daniels on Sunday in Dallas.

Mariota threw for over 200 yards on six occasions last season for the Washington Commanders.

He's more than a serviceable player to slot in for Daniels, and in the long term, he might be the best option.

However, the short-term outlook isn't great with Washington taking on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.

If you can manage through Week 3 with another quarterback, Mariota could be a solid option for clashes with the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants in Weeks 4 and 5.

Daniels' prognosis is not yet known, but given the severity of the injury itself, it doesn't look like it'll be a one-week absence. Mariota might not be the leading passer every week, but he's usually reliable for between 150 and 200 yards and a touchdown contribution or two.

Bryce Young has arguably been the biggest fantasy football surprise through two weeks.

Young followed up his opening-week 361-yard outing with 287 yards and three touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Carolina Panthers quarterback started the season in a perfect rhythm and has to be considered one of the top replacements for Williams and/or Daniels, if available.

Young plays the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions in the next two weeks before an early Week 5 bye.

The matchups combined with the early-season production make him one of the must-have quarterbacks on the waiver wire, not just to replace injured players, but to take over for underperformers at the position.

Emanuel Wilson's Week 2 workload was one of the more stunning takeaways from Sunday.

Wilson carried the ball 21 times for 92 yards inside the Seattle Seahawks offense. He had just two carries for three yards in Week 1.

Wilson had eight more carries and 40 more yards than rookie Jadarian Price, who many people thought would take Kenneth Walker's starting spot with Walker now in Kansas City.

The Week 2 splits made it feel like more of an open competition than we first expected.

Of course, it's still an early sample size, but the fact that Seattle relied so much on Wilson on Sunday, at least makes him an intriguing pickup for a Week 3 matchup against Washington in which the Seahawks will be heavily favored and expected to run the ball a ton.

Tre Tucker exploded for 119 yards and a touchdown for the Las Vegas Raiders against what was supposed to be one of the better defenses in the Los Angeles Chargers.

Tucker averaged 23.8 yards per catch on Sunday for the 2-0 Raiders.

Tucker can be a little boom or bust because of his big-play potential, but it is notable that he led Raiders wide receivers in targets with seven and receptions with five.

With Brock Bowers still out, there's a huge gap in production that the Raiders need to make up for. Tucker slid into that role on Sunday.

A Week 3 clash with the New Orleans Saints should produce fruitful numbers again for Tucker. He's best as a FLEX or a bottom-tier WR2 in most lineups, but if he puts up similar numbers as he did on Sunday, he could be valuable piece to lineups, even when Bowers eventually returns.
