Disgraced former Ravens kicker Justin Tucker reportedly works out for Jets

Former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker worked out for the New York Jets on Wednesday, according to multiple reports . Tucker was part of a group workout that also featured Michael Badgley and Josh Karty, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports .

The Jets are in search of a kicker after Jason Sanders missed an extra point and a 54-yard field-goal attempt in Friday's preseason loss to the Giants, concluding a failed competition for the job from training camp. The Jets have since waived Sanders and claimed Blake Grupe off waivers. Sanders is back with the team on the practice squad.

Tucker was an eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time first-team All-Pro for the Baltimore Ravens in 13 seasons with the team. The Ravens released Tucker in 2025 after 16 women accused him of sexual misconduct that he allegedly engaged in repeatedly over the course of years during massage therapy sessions.

Tucker has denied the allegations and was not criminally charged.

Weeks after the Ravens cut Tucker, the NFL announced he was suspended for 10 games for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Tucker has not kicked in an NFL game since.

The Saints and Colts both reportedly worked Tucker out over the summer, but he did not make either roster. With New York's kicker position still unsettled, the Jets are giving Tucker a shot.

Tucker was one of the most accurate and reliable kickers in NFL history during his tenure with the Ravens. But his performance declined in his final season with the team prior to the news of the scandal and his release. He converted a career-low 73.3% of his field-goal attempts in 2024, well below his career conversion rate of 89.1%.
