Bills Trade 2x CFP National Champion OL to Colts, Latest Details on Return Ahead of NFL Roster Cuts

The Buffalo Bills traded interior offensive lineman Sedrick Van Pran-Granger to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Ringer's Tom Pelissero first reported the trade.

Van Pran-Granger made 31 appearances in two years with Buffalo. A fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, he won a pair of national titles at Georgia.

David Benjamin De Cristofaro of Bills Wire posited earlier this week that Van Pran-Granger might be on the bubble: "Lloyd Cushenberry was [coach Joe] Brady's center during the famous 2019 season at LSU, and has been taking the snaps in starting center Connor McGovern's absence as he works his way back to the field from injury. The team also signed Sincere Haynesworth this week, perhaps forecasting a move."

A sixth-round pick isn't a massive return, but it's something of value for a player who may not have made Buffalo's final roster.

For Van Pran-Granger, landing in Indy effectively cements him as the backup center, a role that wasn't assured for him on the Bills.

The Colts will roll into 2026 with Tanor Bortolini as the starter after he appeared in all but one of their games at center a season ago. Behind him, however, the preseason was a terrible audition for Dalton Tucker.

Going from Tucker to Van Pran-Granger will solidify Indianapolis' depth in the middle of the line as the team prepares to face off with the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 13 in Week 1.
