Christian Watson's return to Lambeau Field in an ambulance during the Green Bay Packers' 27-19 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football caught the attention of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman.

Heyman, as only he can, drew a comparison to WCW Clash of the Champions XVII when Sting left the arena early in the night after being attacked by Lex Luger only to return later by stealing the ambulance that took him away for his scheduled match with Rick Rude.

Watson was taken off the field in the second quarter and transported to a hospital via ambulance when he landed hard catching a 53-yard pass. He was diagnosed with a broken rib and was coughing up blood, but told reporters after the game it felt like he was watching something out of a WWE.

The ambulance's departure and return to Lambeau took less than an hour. ESPN's Rob Demovsky noted Watson was in the ambulance around 8:30 p.m. local time, then back on the sideline by 9:19 p.m.

Even with the injury scare, Watson finished the game with 113 yards on a season-high eight receptions. He put up that stat line despite playing a season-low 34 offensive snaps.

One key difference between Watson's situation and the Sting-Rude match referenced by Heyman is the outcome. Green Bay won to earn their fourth victory in the last five games.

Sting, on the other hand, was unable to triumph in his heroic return. Rude, who was managed by Heyman at the time, defeated the Icon to win the United States championship.
