Jayden Daniels carted off with an elbow injury suffered on final play of first half

The end of the first half ended horribly for the Washington Commanders , and not because of a failed play near the goal line.

On the final play of the first half against the Dallas Cowboys , Jayden Daniels was stepped on as he took a snap, stumbled to the ground and was in pain afterward. He appeared to injure his elbow when he braced himself after he was tripped, and it looked similar to his dislocated left elbow he suffered last season.

Daniels was carted off the field as the teams were back in the locker room for halftime.

The dislocated elbow caused Daniels to miss four games last season, and then in his first game back he re-injured it and didn't play again the rest of the season.

Daniels had a historic rookie season for the Commanders but played in just seven games last season due to injuries. Most of the time he missed was due to the injured elbow. While the Commanders will hope for the best, Sunday's injury was a frightening reminder of what happend last season.
