Robert Saleh Calls Out 'Cheap' Hit By Bears' Woods on Wan'Dale Robinson After Titans WR's Injury

Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh wasn't a fan of Chicago Bears safety Xavier Woods' hit on wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson that resulted in an injury during a joint practice between the two teams on Thursday.

"It was cheap," Saleh said, per ESPN's Turron Davenport .

Near the end of practice, Robinson caught a pass from Cam Ward across the middle of the field before he was hit by Woods.

The collision led to a scuffle involving players from both teams.

While Robinson was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power, Saleh confirmed that he was being evaluated for a concussion.

Titans left guard Peter Skoronski also called out the hit by Woods after practice.

"That's Teach Tape 101 in terms of what not to do in a thud practice and a thud period," Skoronski said, per Davenport. "You can't have guys like Wan'Dale going down like that, and hits like that aren't necessary. I get we're being competitive. I get DBs are physical and stuff like that, but that's totally uncalled for in a practice thing like this. We defend our teammates, man. I don't encourage throwing punches or fighting or anything like that, but if cheap shots are taken on our guys, it's unacceptable for us."

Robinson is expected to operate as a key piece of Tennessee's passing attack this season after signing a four-year, $78 million contract with the team in free agency.

During his 2025 campaign with the New York Giants, he hauled in 92 receptions for a career-high 1,014 yards while finding the end zone four times.

As for Woods, he joined the Bears on Aug. 7 after recording 39 tackles and three passes defended across 11 games as a member of the Titans last season.
