Welcome to Week 1 of the 2026 season, where the dreams of fans that their team may be the one to hoist the Lombardi in Super Bowl LXI remain alive and well … for now.Among the key injuries to watch heading into Sunday afternoon: WR Emeka Egbuka (toe), WR Rome Odunze (calf) and WR Ja'Marr Chase (knee) are all active and set to play in their respective openers. Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) and Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty (ankle) are also expected to play this afternoon.Meanwhile, fantasy managers got an unfortunate update on Raiders star tight end Brock Bowers, who will miss "a game or two" to start the season after undergoing a knee procedure last week. Saints RB Alvin Kamara is also out for Week 1 as he continues to recover from a knee injury suffered last month. Injuries have also forced the Falcons into a difficult position at quarterback for Week 1. Michael Penix Jr. continues to recover from a knee injury that ended his 2025 campaign, and Tua Tagovailoa, who was slated to start against the Steelers, was ruled out late this week after suffering an oblique injury in practice. That puts Cooper Rush in line to start, with UDFA rookie Jack Strand as his backup. WR Olamide Zaccheaus will serve as the team's emergency third quarterback.Week 1 schedule, where to watchBears vs. Panthers, 1 p.m. ET on FoxBuccaneers vs. Bengals, 1 p.m. ET on FoxRavens vs. Colts, 1 p.m. ET on CBSSaints vs. Lions, 1 p.m. ET on FoxBills vs. Texans, 1 p.m. ET on CBSBrowns vs. Jaguars, 1 p.m. ET on CBSJets vs. Titans, 1 p.m. ET on CBSFalcons vs. Steelers, 1 p.m. ET on FoxPackers vs. Vikings, 4:25 p.m. ET on CBSCommanders vs. Eagles, 4:25 p.m. ET on FoxDolphins vs. Raiders, 4:25 p.m. ET on FoxCardinals vs. Chargers, 4:25 p.m. ET on CBSFollow along with Yahoo Sports for live updates, highlights and more from Week 1's early and afternoon Sunday game slates:
