Derrick Henry has no doubts over who the NFL’s best running back is right now

Derrick Henry has named Bijan Robinson as the NFL's best running back ahead of the Baltimore Ravens' Week 5 clash with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Ravens star was asked about Robinson ahead of Sunday's matchup and had no hesitation in giving the Falcons running back the top spot.

Robinson enters the game with 494 rushing yards, the second-most in the NFL, despite a slow start to the 2026 season. His form has taken off since Michael Penix Jr. returned in Week 3.

Robinson has rushed for 339 yards and four touchdowns across Atlanta's last two games, helping the Falcons secure wins over the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints.

Henry, meanwhile, has 374 rushing yards this season and ranks fourth in the league. That sets up a fascinating battle between two of the NFL's leading backs when the teams meet in Atlanta.

Henry was quick to praise Robinson when asked about his performances, saying: "He's the best in the game right now, he's doing it all. I ain't gonna shy away from it. He's doing a great job, hell of a back.

"He does a great job in their system. Then [he] does a great job when the play is not exactly how they want it, he knows how to make guys miss, and be able to get vertical, and get the most out of a play, for sure."

Henry also admitted that while he does not know Robinson particularly well, the two have spoken on social media.

"I'm sure I'll talk to him after the game," Henry added.

Robinson will now have the chance to back up Henry's huge compliment on the field. The Falcons will face a Ravens defence that could use three-linebacker packages specifically designed to limit his impact.

Baltimore is also dealing with uncertainty at quarterback with Lamar Jackson nursing an ankle injury. Regardless of who starts under centre, Henry and Robinson are likely to be central to what could be one of Week 5's biggest individual battles.
