Diego Pavia's next chapter in football will potentially be coming in the UFL.

The former Vanderbilt quarterback posted on social media Monday that he's currently in negotiations to join the league:

Pavia, 24, went undrafted out of college but signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He didn't last long with the team, however, as the Ravens cut him in late July, one day before rookies were scheduled to report to training camp.

Pavia also spoke on failing to stick with an NFL team and his next steps during an interview with Darius Sanders.

"Super thankful to the Ravens for giving me a chance. No one else did. They were the only team to call after the draft," he said (6:13 mark). "I feel like I've had a few hiccups in my career, maybe what they didn't want to see. But at the end of the day everyone's having fun, everyone's going out, it's just my s--t got televised. ... I'm thankful for what I've been through. My journey is not done. I plan on doing some UFL. If everything goes smooth, I'm planning on bringing some teammates with me. And besides that, man, I'm here to support guys around the world. If they need help, they can reach out to me. I'll be at a lot of games. So, I'm just here to have fun."

Pavia certainly appeared to be having fun out on the field during his time with Vanderbilt, throwing for 5,832 yards, 49 touchdowns and 12 interceptions across two seasons while rushing for 1,663 yards and another 18 scores.

That included last season's impressive 10-3 campaign, Vandy's first 10-win season in school history. And that's a long history—the Commodores began playing football in 1890. While Vanderbilt just missed out on the College Football Playoff, it was a historic season nonetheless.

Without Pavia the Commodores have gone 3-4 this season, losers of four straight. And for fans itching to see him out on the field again, it appears that he has the UFL in his sights.
