Giants' Cam Skattebo Reacts to Jaxson Dart's Season-Ending Knee Injury, 'My Best Friend'

The New York Giants have had a tough week after losing quarterback Jaxson Dart to a season-ending knee injury.

Running back Cam Skattebo described Dart as his "best friend" and discussed the emotional impact of the injury.

"It's a little emotional for me. It sucked to lose him," Skattebo told reporters Thursday. "But we gotta move on. The team still has a full season left. Still got 15 games minimum left. It's something we have to battle through together as a team."

Schefter Talks Possible Giants QB Targets

During their Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Dart took a hard hit to the legs and was ruled out of the game. It was later revealed that he would need season-ending surgery to repair his MCL, PCL and meniscus.

The Giants upset the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 after Dart threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns, and that performance perhaps gave fans confidence that the 2026 campaign would be more than just a rebuilding year.

While New York's season is far from over, its playoff hopes took a big hit with Dart's season-ending injury.
