Cedric Tillman Reportedly Released by Browns amid 2026 NFL Roster Cutdown Rumors

The Cleveland Browns are releasing wide receiver Cedric Tillman, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Browns selected the former Tennessee star with the 74th overall pick (third round) in the 2023 NFL draft.

Over three seasons (38 games), Tillman caught 71 passes for 833 yards and five touchdowns. He posted 21 receptions for 270 yards and a pair of scores over 13 games last year.

Tillman has flashed at times during his career. Over a three-game stretch (Weeks 7-9) in 2024, Tillman caught 21 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns. He also began the 2025 season with a five-catch, 52-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 6'3", 215-pound Tillman certainly presents a big target for quarterbacks, and it's certainly possible he lands somewhere soon enough. The cutdown day is 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, when NFL teams have to get down to 53 players.

As far as the 2026 Browns roster goes, Cleveland has made big changes at wide receiver, adding Texas A&M's KC Concepcion with the No. 24 overall pick in this year's NFL draft and following that up with selecting Washington's Denzel Boston at No. 39. Both are listed as starters alongside Jerry Jeudy on Cleveland's latest depth chart .

Cleveland also added Tylan Wallace, who played his first five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, on a one-year deal .
