Viral Preseason Quote from Cardinals' Mack Wilson Resurfaces After Upset Win vs. Rams

The Los Angeles Rams came into the season as Super Bowl favorites, and the rebuilding Arizona Cardinals were the least of their worries.

But Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson knew his squad was not to be overlooked. After Arizona upset the Rams on Sunday, a preseason quote from Wilson resurfaced.

"They've got to deal with us," Wilson told reporters before the season started. "At the end of the day, they've got to deal with us."

Wilson's quote wasn't just confidence, but manifestation. The Cardinals came into Sunday's matchup on a four-game losing streak, but left SoFi Stadium with an 18-16 victory.

Now, instead of being Super Bowl contenders, the Rams are hoping to regroup and make the playoffs. Los Angeles dropped to 2-4 on Sunday and sits in last place in the NFC West.

The Rams had a tough slate to begin the season, facing the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos and the Buffalo Bills. They would have liked to have made it through that stretch with more than two wins, but they will now have to turn things around moving forward.

Things don't get much easier next week, as Los Angeles faces a Las Vegas Raiders team that has looked solid through its first six games.
