Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers put on a show Sunday at home, handing Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions an impressive 32-26 loss in front of the home crowd.

The Lions walked into Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte as 3.5-point favorites over the home team, according to FanDuel Sportsbook , and walked out with an "L" after the clinic Young and Tetairoa McMillan put on.

The duo found each other for two scores, while Chuba Hubbard got in the mix with two rushing touchdowns of his own, as the offense went a perfect 2-for-2 on fourth-down attempts to cap a brilliant night.

Young threw for 329 yards, his second-highest total of the season behind his 361-yard performance in the Panthers' season-opening 59-37 loss to the Chicago Bears.

An opening-drive field goal from the Lions put them on the board first, but it was the Panthers who entered the second quarter with a 7-3 lead after a 15-yard Hubbard rushing touchdown.

Both teams scored on every possession of the second quarter, with the Panthers notching a near-50-yard field goal from Ryan Fitzgerald in addition to McMillan hauling in a 32-yard touchdown pass from Young.

The Lions added two field goals of more than 40 yards, including one to close out the half and tie things at 16 apiece, along with a Jahmyr Gibbs rushing touchdown.

The Young-to-McMillan connection was unstoppable, with the duo hooking up once more on a 10-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

In desperate need of a score, Goff launched a 57-yard pass to Isaac TeSlaa to get the Lions into field goal position and close the gap.

The Lions could not find an answer to slow down Young and Carolina, as Hubbard barreled in for his second touchdown of the evening, taking a 29-19 lead into the final quarter.

The Panthers' defense came up big down the stretch, forcing a punt and a turnover on downs before Goff finally broke through with a short pass to Sam LaPorta to make it a one-score game.

The Cardinals were unable to hold onto the ball and run out the clock, giving Detroit the ball back with 2:06 remaining.

A clutch sack from the Panthers paved the way for a fourth down stop from Detroit, as the Panthers' defense came up big once more to close out the win.

Carolina will head into its bye week, while Detroit will hit the road to face the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
