(NEXSTAR) — The NFL and Roc Nation have yet to officially announce next year’s Super Bowl halftime performer, but users across two of the biggest prediction markets seem to think they have a pretty good idea.

As of Tuesday morning, the odds posted at Kalshi and Polymarket leaned heavily toward Jay-Z as the headliner of Super Bowl LXI in Feb. 2027. Jay-Z is also the founder of Roc Nation, the entertainment company that has chosen the act for, and co-produced, the Super Bowl halftime show since 2020.

Jay-Z had a hefty lead over other potential performers. At Kalshi, the market viewed Jay-Z as having about a 91 percent chance of headlining, and the odds were even greater on Polymarket .

Other performers thought to have a (much smaller) chance at headlining included Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Post Malone and Dua Lipa, among others, according to users at both prediction markets.

It’s worth noting that prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket, just like traditional stock markets, prohibit insider trading. But a few factors are likely swaying users’ predictions — including an early Tuesday report from Puck which suggested Jay-Z had selected himself as the halftime entertainment. The outlet cited “multiple” unnamed sources with the news.

Jay-Z has also never headlined a Super Bowl Halftime Show, despite his long tenure as a top-selling recording artist and the founder of the company that currently chooses the halftime entertainment.

The NFL has not yet confirmed the news, though it’s likely the league will make its announcement soon. Halftime performers for the Super Bowl have generally been announced several months before the big game in September: Bad Bunny, who headlined Super Bowl LX in 2026, was formally announced on Sept. 28, 2025, while Kendrick Lamar, who headlined Super Bowl LIX in 2025, was announced Sept. 8, 2024.

There’s no question, however, who is making the final decision, insiders have said.

“It’s a decision that Jay makes,” Jesse Collins, the co-producer of the event, told Variety in 2014. “Since we’ve been on board with that show, he’s made it every year, and it’s been amazing. He’s always picked right!”
