Eli felt Delane guessed on the route and nearly stumbled into the interception.Peyton then explained why he viewed the play as a fortunate break for the rookie cornerback.“He’s lucky he ran the in route, because the trail technique without a safety help over the top, if you go deep, it’s going to be wide open,” Manning said during the ManningCast. “He really lucks out on that play.”That gave the Chiefs a chance to turn Nix’s mistake into points, and they did exactly that.
