The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly working toward a reunion with Tyreek Hill after losing two receivers to injury during their 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4.

Kansas City has reached out to Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, according to The Athletic's Michael Silver . Following Sunday's win, several Chiefs players — including quarterback Patrick Mahomes — told Silver that they would be in favor of bringing Hill back once he's healthy enough to play.

During Sunday's game versus the Raiders, the Chiefs lost Rashee Rice to a hamstring injury and Tyquan Thornton with a dislocated left ankle . Xavier Worthy has also been struggling with a shoulder injury, though he did play against Las Vegas.

Hill is working his way back from a serious knee injury suffered last year in the Miami Dolphins' fourth game of the season. As he made a catch going out of bounds, Hill planted hard on his left leg as Jets defensive back Malachi Moore wrapped up his right leg.

The veteran receiver was left with his lower leg pointing in the wrong direction. Dolphins athletic trainers had to cut his cleat off before stabilizing his leg. Hill was eventually diagnosed with a dislocated kneecap and multiple torn ligaments in his left knee.

The Dolphins released Hill in February , making him a free agent for the first time in his NFL career. However, no team signed him because of his knee injury, putting his football future in doubt.

In late July, as NFL teams were reporting to training camp, Hill posted a video to social media that showed his progress in running barefoot and making jumps out of his swimming pool.

In the video, Hill also revealed that doctors told him that he might not be able to walk again because of the injury, let alone resume his NFL career. Despite running, he also said that he had "no power in my left leg at all," which was the biggest step he had to take in working his way back.

Hill played six seasons for the Chiefs, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2016. He was named to the Pro Bowl in each of those six seasons, also earning first-team All-Pro honors three times. Altogether, Hill compiled 479 receptions for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns in 91 games and helped Kansas City win Super Bowl LIV .

Seeking a contract extension, Hill was traded to the Dolphins for five draft picks before the 2022-23 season. He subsequently signed a four-year, $120 million extension. In his four seasons with Miami, Hill had two 119-catch seasons, led the league with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023, and made two more Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro squads.
