2026 NFL Trade Block Big Board Entering Week 2

Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season brought a few twists, surprises, and, unfortunately, injuries. A team or two may consider turning to the trade market in response.

The November 10 trade deadline is still nearly two months away. We're still weeks away from truly knowing which teams are likely to be this year's biggest buyers and sellers. However, we may see our first big in-season trade soon, with trade activity only increasing from there.

Who are the best and most realistic trade targets heading into Week 2? That's what we're here to examine.

Here are our top 10 trade candidates, ranked by past production, upside, positional value, contract/cap implications, likely availability, and relevant recent rumors.

We'll also project trade values based on factors such as position, player upside, player age, and any comparable deals, while providing some logical suitors for each player.

10. Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 7th-Round Pick

The San Francisco 49ers have been practically begging teams to bid on disgruntled wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk since the offseason began.

"We're available. Give us a call," general manager John Lynch told reporters in his post-draft press conference.

It's hard to envision San Francisco suddenly changing its stance on Aiyuk, even after promising rookie receiver De'Zhaun Stribling suffered an ankle injury in the season opener. He's expected to miss at least a month, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport .

Although Aiyuk hasn't played since suffering a significant knee injury in 2024, he is still only 28 and surpassed 1,300 receiving yards when he was last healthy in 2023. He could draw interest from teams who have experienced critical injuries at receiver.

Stribling, A.J. Brown, Ja'Kobi Lane, and Ladd McConkey were among the receivers who suffered injuries in Week 1.

Potential Suitors: Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 7th-Round Draft Pick

Quality defensive linemen are usually in demand, as injuries at the position make role players like Solomon Thomas even more valuable.

The Atlanta Falcons, for example, recently lost Da'Shawn Hand to a season-ending quad tear.

The Tennessee Titans acquired Thomas in an offseason trade with the Dallas Cowboys. Adding him made some sense, as it reunited Thomas with new Titans head coach Robert Saleh. However, Thomas will be a free agent in 2027. After getting blown out in Week 1, it's hard to imagine Tennessee becoming playoff-relevant before then.

Thomas probably isn't a starter at this stage of his career, but the 30-year-old recorded 27 tackles and three tackles for loss in a rotational role with Dallas last season.

8. Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 2nd-Round Pick

The Jacksonville Jaguars aren't poised to be big-time sellers at the trade deadline. They thumped the lowly Cleveland Browns in their opener and could have a realistic shot at a Super Bowl push this season.

However, general manager James Gladstone has shown that he isn't afraid to make an aggressive trade if he believes it will benefit his squad. He traded starting corner Tyson Campbell in-season last year.

The Jags have dismissed the trade buzz surrounding wideout Brian Thomas Jr. However, it's fair to wonder how tightly they'll hang onto him now. Thomas had three catches for 40 yards in the opener, but Parker Washington has fully arrived as Jacksonville's new No. 1 receiver.

Washington is set to be a free agent in 2027. Moving Thomas, who will be extension-eligible in the spring, could help pave a financial path to paying Washington like a top-tier target.

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 3rd-Round Pick

No one expected the Browns to be particularly good in 2026. If Week 1 is an accurate indication, though, Cleveland is even worse than everyone thought. Deshaun Watson continues to look like a quarterback who can't get it done. Both Todd Monken and defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg appear to be in over their heads.

The Browns should be looking to chase 2027 draft capital in their pursuit of a quality quarterback. Starting corner Tyson Campbell could potentially bring some. He started 12 games for Cleveland last season and allowed an opposing passer rating of just 84.8 in coverage.

Campbell is also just 26 years old and under contract through 2028. With an annual salary of $19.1 million, he's on the pricier side, but he should interest contenders who need a cornerback.

Denzel Ward is the bigger name in Cleveland's cornerback room, but ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported in June that the Browns were totally uninterested in moving him.

6. Mason Rudolph, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 6th-Round Pick

Like the Jaguars, the Pittsburgh Steelers won their opener and are probably thinking more about a playoff run than the trade deadline. However, Pittsburgh also has a surplus of quarterbacks, with Mason Rudolph, Drew Allar, and Will Howard sitting behind starter Aaron Rodgers.

According to longtime NFL reporter Jason La Canfora, the Steelers are open to trading Rudolph if they can find a buyer.

"The one thing stopping this is not Pittsburgh's willingness to sell, it's the number of quarterbacks potentially available across the league which could make finding a deal more difficult," La Canfora wrote for Casino.org.

Other backups could be available, but teams also need depth and/or a spot starter. The Falcons have a quarterback mess on their hands. Over the past week, the Seattle Seahawks lost Sam Darnold to a hip injury. The Minnesota Vikings also lost Kyler Murray to a concussion.

Rudolph has 19 regular-season starts and one playoff start on his resume.

Projected Trade Value: 2027 1st-Round Pick, 2028 1st-Round Pick

The Las Vegas Raiders' 1-0 start to the season should cool any Maxx Crosby trade chatter for the immediate future.

Crosby did ask for a trade following the 2025 season. The Raiders did agree to trade him to the Baltimore Ravens in a deal that fell through. According to ESPN's Ryan McFadden , however, Las Vegas wasn't actively looking to move Crosby in the spring before Baltimore made an offer it couldn't turn down.

Of course, the Raiders aren't going to play the Miami Dolphins every week. At some point, they'll turn the offense over to rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza. If and when the Raiders start to stumble, building around Mendoza should become the central focus.

Moving a pass rusher like Crosby can help jump-start a rebuild, a reality that the Browns and Dallas Cowboys recently realized. The Raiders have realized it as well, as they would have already traded Crosby if the Ravens hadn't backed out of the deal.

Expect teams that need pass-rushing help to make more offers to acquire Crosby before the trade deadline passes.

Projected Trade Value: Conditional 2027 4th-Round Pick

The Browns traded Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in an effort to build for the future. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy probably won't be part of that future. Rookies Denzel Boston and K.C. Concepcion are the new faces of Cleveland's receiving corps.

"Now, from what I've seen of Boston and Concepcion, Jeudy could be a real trade chip played by GM Andrew Berry at the November 10 deadline, if not earlier," Grossi said in August (h/t Max Dible of Heavy).

Boston and Concepcion became the focal point of the Browns' passing attack in Week 1, as Jeudy finished with just two catches for 26 yards on four targets. The 2024 Pro Bowler is unlikely to regain his status as a No. 1 target in Cleveland.

However, Jeudy is still only 27 years old and has a contract that should appeal to 2026 contenders in need of receiver help—he has a base salary of only $1.5 million . Given the injuries we've already seen at the position, Jeudy should have a deadline market if the Browns are reasonable with their asking price.

3. Kayvon Thibodeaux, Edge, New York Giants

The New York Giants announced their return to relevance with a 28-20 win over the rival Cowboys on Sunday Night Football . While they still have a long way to go to be considered NFC contenders, the Giants probably won't be selling off pieces in the near future.

However, the future of pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux remains murky at best. The 2022 first-round pick will be a free agent next offseason. New York has added other premier edge talent. Brian Burns and Abdul Carter lead the pass-rushing rotation, while rookie linebacker Arvell Reese could eventually transition to being an edge player.

Thibodeaux, meanwhile, appears to have become a pure rotation player under new head coach John Harbaugh. He played just 47 percent of the defensive snaps in Week 1, though he did log a quarterback hit.

It's always nice to have pass-rushing depth. At some point, however, the potential return in a trade will outweigh the value of having Thibodeaux as depth for the remainder of the season. If Thibodeaux can't carve out a more prominent role, the Giants can't expect to get a valuable compensatory pick by letting him walk in 2027 free agency.

2. Joey Porter Jr., CB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Theoretically, the Steelers and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. have time to sort out their differences and focus on the 2026 season. However, Porter wants a new contract. Pittsburgh has traditionally avoided contract talks after the regular season starts.

Porter was inactive in Week 1 and could be on the move in the not-too-distant future.

According to ESPN's Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter , "the possibility of a trade remains in play."

Porter might not be an elite cover corner, but he's been an above-average starter since midway through his rookie season. He'd be a strong fit for most cornerback-needy defenses, with the caveat that acquiring him would also require a lucrative new contract.

Christian Gonzalez leads all cornerbacks with a deal worth $33.8 million annually. It's fair to assume Porter wants a deal near the top of the market.

Potential Suitors: Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders

The 49ers throttled the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. They look like a team that could make a Super Bowl run in 2026. As long as that remains true, San Francisco will likely be even less inclined to move backup quarterback Mac Jones than it was during the offseason.

The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt reported that San Francisco was looking for a second-round pick in exchange for Jones during the spring.

Jones proved last year that he can keep the 49ers afloat if Brock Purdy misses time. He went 5-3 as a starter while throwing for 2,151 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2025.

The unknown is how long San Francisco will prioritize quarterback insurance over an intriguing return. Jones is practically guaranteed to depart in 2027 free agency. He could potentially net a big haul from a playoff hopeful in search of a starting quarterback. A conditional second-round pick that can become a first might be enough to get a deal done.
