Kyle Van Noy, Vikings Reportedly Agree to Contract After Ravens Stint, Updated NFL Depth Chart

After spending the last three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, linebacker Kyle Van Noy will reportedly be donning a different shade of purple.

Tom Pelissero of The Ringer reported Tuesday the veteran agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Vikings. According to Pelissero, Van Noy will "start on the practice squad to ramp up."

Here is a look at Minnesota's linebacker depth chart he will eventually attempt to find a role with in 2026.

There should be some familiarity in place for Van Noy considering Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores was on the defensive staff when the linebacker was with the New England Patriots earlier in his career.

New England won the Super Bowl during the 2016 and 2018 campaigns when Van Noy was a key defensive playmaker and Flores was a linebackers coach.

Van Noy has suited up for the Detroit Lions, Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers and Ravens during a career that started when he was a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft out of BYU.

While he won his two Super Bowls in New England, he made his only Pro Bowl during the 2024 campaign for Baltimore when he tallied 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, two passes defended, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

He had just two sacks in 2025, so he will look to return to the form he demonstrated just two years ago while reuniting with Flores.

Minnesota starts the season on Sept. 13 against the NFC North rival Green Bay Packers.
