On Sunday, a report emerged that the Arizona Cardinals refused to provide wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with a Seeker machine, which is essentially a robotic quarterback.
And former NFL head coach Marvin Lewis said on social media that Harrison ultimately bought his own Jugs machine, since the Cardinals didn't have one:
Harrison, 54, has long had a rigorous training routine that includes a heavy Jugs workout. As ESPN reported back in 2024, "Harrison catches about 200 balls before practice Monday, Tuesday and Saturday and after practice on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays" which is "in addition to the hours of work he puts in on his body—recovering, lifting and getting treatment—the playbook and his craft."
The Cardinals failing to provide a Seeker machine perhaps contributed to the disconnect that ultimately resulted in the team trading him to the Houston Texans on Sunday, just two years after making him the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL draft.
Hopefully the Texans are willing to invest in a Seeker machine.
