Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Bart Scott might have ruffled the feathers of some of his colleagues with his recent admission about former players turned TV analysts.

Players pursuing a career in media after retirement is not an unknown route, and some of the greatest NFL stars have also done it. Tom Brady and T.J. Watt are two prime examples of NFL legends who moved into sports broadcasting after their careers.

With the rise of YouTube, many former players also use that as a platform to express their thoughts. However, Bart Scott does not agree to every former player's thoughts for a major reason.

Scott's take on former players turned analysts has fans in splits

Scott was one of the many former players who lost their jobs during the job cuts made by ESPN in July. He had been with the broadcaster for nine years, but was let go due to the corporate restructuring of talent. He had a show on ESPN Radio alongside Chris Carlin and also served as a studio analyst for SNY's New York Jets postgame show.

Despite his involvement in media, Scott believes not every former player on TV is qualified to offer takes on the game.

"You know and I know there's levels to this; every player that play in the league ain't smart, you had dumb players, right… Some couldn't coach their way out of a wet paper bag and we know, but they sound good, they can tap dance, they can present good. Half of them don't even have resumes. One thing I always say, 'You can say it, but can you show me how you did it.'" said Scott on The Pivot Podcast.

An X user reposted the clip, adding a split image of Dan Orlovsky and Emmanuel Acho at the end.

This led to a lot of reactions from fans, who stormed the comment section with their thoughts.

One fan said, "Screaming at the split image at the end," While another added, "orlovsky catching strays on the pivot is the best part of the whole network tbh."

Someone also stated, "I think I know who he talking about?!"

There were also those who did not agree with Scott's take on the topic. "This argument doesn't hold weight though, considering the best coaches typically are the bench players. Especially the backup QBs. Gary Kubiak, Kellen Moore, Kevin O'Connell.. all respected coaches who played way less on the field than Dan Orlovsky," the fan wrote.

A fan also opined, "BART is a dude that belongs on tv. He was funny without even trying on get up. Then he'd turned to the camera with a smirk like George Foreman used to."
