NFL approves record $9.6 billion sale of Seahawks to Vinod Khosla

The era of Allen family ownership of the Seattle Seahawks is inching ever closer to its official conclusion. Another key step in this long process was just completed. On Wednesday afternoon, the NFL owners voted unanimously to approve the sale of the franchise to Vinod Khosla and his family. The Khosla family agreed to purchase the Seahawks for a record-breaking $9.6 billion dollars . Now, they are on the verge of officially joining the exclusive NFL owners club.

This is not their first taste of NFL action, as they were minority owners in the rival San Francisco 49ers . But rest assured, 12's, Vinod Khosla will not be acting as a double agent, as NFL rules mandate he sell his shares of Niners ownership before taking control of the Seahawks.
