Ja'Marr Chase Says He Just Found Out Bengals' Start Time for Week 1 vs. Bucs in Funny Video

It's safe to say Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase hasn't been studying the schedule to this point.

He told reporters Thursday he found out "today" that the team's opening game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

"I'm finding out the game is at 1 o'clock, I do not like that," he said. "To be honest, I do not like playing in 1 o'clock games. So that means I have to wake up a little earlier than usual."

While one way to spin his comment would be to say Chase enjoys playing under the primetime spotlight, he did highlight that he will have to wake up earlier for an early afternoon game.

He might not want to check the schedule in the immediate aftermath of his comments either, as the Bengals are slated to play at 1 p.m. ET in each of their first seven games of the 2026 campaign.
