Pittsburgh begins the Mike McCarthy era at Acrisure Stadium after hiring the longtime NFL head coach during the offseason. The Steelers enter Week 1 with a veteran-heavy roster, while a defense featuring T.J. Watt , Cameron Heyward , and Patrick Queen will immediately be challenged by one of the NFL's most dangerous running backs. Bijan Robinson led the league with 2,298 yards from scrimmage in 2025, including 1,478 rushing yards, and remains the centerpiece of Atlanta's offense.

Atlanta will have Tua Tagovailoa under center after new head coach Kevin Stefanski named him the Week 1 starter. Tagovailoa will have Robinson, Drake London , and Kyle Pitts among his primary weapons as the Falcons try to carry over some momentum from a four-game winning streak to close last season.
