New 2027 NFL Draft Big Board Revealed by Dane Brugler, Where Do Arch Manning, Dante Moore Rank?

Texas quarterback Arch Manning ranks third and Oregon signal-caller Dante Moore sits sixth on the latest 2027 NFL draft big board from Dane Brugler of The Athletic, who listed his first 50 players.

Here's a look at the top 10, which begins with Ohio State superstar wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.

Five other quarterbacks are on the list: Notre Dame's CJ Carr (No. 27), Oklahoma State's Drew Mestemaker (No. 30), Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss (No. 35), South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers (No. 37) and Miami's Darian Mensah (No. 41).

The 6'4", 230-pound Manning is entering his second season as Texas' starter. Last year, he completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 3,163 yards (7.8 YPA), 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 399 yards and 10 scores.

Texas has great expectations this year, as it did last year, when the team started the season No. 1 in the preseason poll. The Longhorns went 10-3 and missed the College Football Playoff, but they are fifth in this year's preseason poll.

Here's what Brugler had to say about Mannning.

"Manning is not without flaws. However, his issues are mostly experience based, and his progress last season will encourage evaluators that continued growth is coming. Better timing with his receivers and upgrades to the depth chart (hello, Cam Coleman) also should translate to better play," Brugler wrote.

"Drafting a quarterback high in the NFL Draft is a substantial bet, without guarantees. But based on the promise of his tape and traits, Manning looks like the type of prospect worth the gamble. We'll see if his 2026 tape builds on that optimism."

Moore transferred from Oregon after starring at UCLA in 2023. He got the QB1 job in 2025, completing 71.8 percent of his passes for 3,565 yards (8.7 YPA), 30 touchdowns and 10 picks. The Ducks went 13-2 last year and reached the College Football Playoff semifinal.

Moore could have very well been a high draft pick in 2025, but he decided to return for another year. Brugler wrote the following in part:

"Had he declared, Moore would have been drafted very high in the 2026 NFL Draft — likely No. 2 by the New York Jets. However, he wanted one more year of college experience to continue developing mentally and physically."

Oregon has high expectations again, slotting second in the AP preseason poll.

We'll see how the draft board adjusts as the season goes along, but it's clear Manning and Moore lead the way to start on the QB list.
