Famous Chicago hot dog spot to give free food based on Colston Loveland’s stats in NFL Week 2

Chicago Bears fans have another reason to get behind Colston Loveland on Sunday of NFL Week 2.

The Wieners Circle, the famous Chicago hot dog stand known for its Bears -related promotions, has announced that it will give away free hot dogs to Chicagoans if the tight end scores two touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.

While it seems like a tall task, the way the Bears offense was able to put up points in Week 1 certainly makes this possible.

Loveland has plenty to prove after Week 1 dud

The promotion comes at an interesting time for Loveland, who had a frustrating start to his second NFL season. The Bears scored 59 points against the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, but Loveland somehow finished with zero catches on just two targets.

The lack of production was particularly surprising because Loveland was heavily involved in Chicago's offense from a playing-time perspective. He played 65 offensive snaps, or 87% of the team's offensive plays, while running a route on more than 90% of Chicago's pass plays.

That usage suggests the Bears still view Loveland as an important part of the offense. His Week 1 box score simply didn't reflect the opportunity.

Loveland also has plenty of recent production to point to. As a rookie in 2025, he caught 58 passes for 713 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games.

A Loveland breakout could mean free hot dogs

Now, Bears fans have a very specific reason to root for Loveland to find the end zone twice.

The Wieners Circle has previously used Bears performances as the trigger for free-food giveaways. The restaurant gave away free hot dogs following Caleb Williams ' four-touchdown game against Dallas in 2025 and later did the same after Ben Johnson celebrated a win by taking his shirt off.

This time, the challenge is straightforward: Loveland scores twice, Chicago gets free hot dogs.

The Bears and Vikings are scheduled to meet Sunday at Soldier Field, giving Loveland an opportunity to immediately erase the memory of his bizarre Week 1 performance.

Considering Loveland played nearly the entire offensive game last week without recording a catch, it would not be surprising to see Chicago make a more deliberate effort to get him involved.

And if he finds the end zone twice, Bears fans won't just get a potential breakout performance from one of the team's young offensive weapons—they'll have free hot dogs waiting in Chicago.
