Drake Maye, Will Anderson Jr. Named to NFL Top 100, Check Out the Updated 2026 Rankings

The NFL Top 100 is entering the home stretch with New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and Houston Texans star Will Anderson Jr. being added to the list on Friday.

After finishing second in NFL MVP voting, Maye nearly made the top 10 by coming in at No. 11.

Anderson was revealed as the No. 12 player entering the 2026 season.

Maye is the first Patriots offensive player to make the NFL Top 100 since 2022 when Mac Jones was ranked No. 85 coming off a solid rookie season.

The Patriots selected Maye with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 draft hoping he could be the answer at quarterback they had been searching for since Tom Brady left after the 2019 season.

After an encouraging rookie season, Maye ascended to superstardom in 2025. He led the NFL in completion percentage (72.0) and QBR (77.1), while ranking in the top five in passing yards (4,394) and passing touchdowns (31).

Maye led the Patriots to a 14-3 record, nearly matching their win total from the previous three years combined (16). They won the AFC East for the first time since 2019 and reached the Super Bowl for the 12th time in franchise history.

Expectations are sky high for the Patriots going into this season, particularly with the addition of A.J. Brown as the No. 1 receiver for Maye. It remains to be seen if they can repeat their success from 2025, but their young quarterback is the primary reason for optimism in New England.

Anderson jumped up 34 spots from last year's top 100 when he came in at No. 46.

The ascent for Anderson comes after he was named to the All-Pro first team and finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting during the 2025 campaign. He set career-highs with 23 quarterback hits, 20 tackles for loss and 12 sacks.

Anderson was tied for fourth in tackles for loss and tied for eighth in sacks.

On a per-play basis, Anderson was one of the most dominant EDGE rushers in the NFL last year. He ranked fourth in ESPN's pass-rush win rate (23 percent) on 270 pass-rush snaps.

In addition to being able to get after the quarterback, Anderson is an excellent run defender. He finished seventh among all EDGE players with a 28 percent run-stop win rate.

Anderson was the only EDGE to rank in the top 10 in both categories.

The Texans had arguably the best defense in the NFL in 2025 and figure to be right up there again in 2026. Anderson is one of the primary driving forces behind that success, making him more than deserving of his high ranking on the top 100 list.
