The Los Angeles Chargers are now the lone winless team in the NFL.

The Miami Dolphins' win over the New York Jets put the Chargers removed them from the winless ranks.

Miami is still inside the top three of the projected 2027 NFL draft order alongside the Chargers and the Tennessee Titans.

The Chargers will be the No. 1 pick in the projected draft order after Week 7 because they are on a bye. There's no clear end in sight to the losing run, though, since they come out of the off week to play the Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens.

The Chargers, Titans, Dolphins, Washington Commanders and Texans are currently the top five teams in the projected draft order.

6. New York Jets (via Indianapolis - 2-5)

The longer the Chargers stay first in the projected order, the better the chances are for Jeremiah Smith to be the No. 1 overall pick.

The Chargers would be more likely to get rid of their offensive coaches, or even Jim Harbaugh, then they would Justin Herbert because of the money attached to the franchise quarterback.

Smith is currently second in the FBS in receiving yards and second in receiving touchdowns. He's averaging 18.9 yards per catch this season and has averaged 17 yards per catch in every Ohio State game this season.

Smith would be the obvious choice for the Chargers because he would provide a huge boost to the team's offense. He'd be an instant upgrade over Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston.

The Ohio State wide receiver would also be a huge upgrade for the Dolphins and the Titans, but those teams might be more invested in the quarterback market.

If Miami wants to hold on to Malik Willis, or if it doesn't believe in the quarterback class, it could go the Smith route as well. The same goes for the Titans depending on what happens with Cam Ward.

Arch Manning's draft stock has been on a rollercoaster throughout the Texas Longhorns' season.

Manning bounced back a bit on Saturday with 212 passing yards and a touchdown pass in the win over the Ole Miss Rebels.

Manning did throw a pair of interceptions in the win, so he wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination.

However, the Texas quarterback did play better than he did in the losses to the Oklahoma Sooners and Florida Gators.

The quarterback class as a whole hasn't performed well during the 2026 college football regular season, Manning included.

Manning has a handful of high-profile SEC games left to play, so if he plays better, he could boost his draft stock.

Miami, Tennessee and others should at least look at Manning throughout the rest of the college football season, but right now, there's no guarantee he'll be in the mix to be the top signal-caller chosen.
