Jason Kelce’s emotional words about Travis Kelce reveal a deeper side of their famous NFL brotherly rivalry fans rarely see

Jason Kelce has made it clear that he has never felt jealous of Travis Kelce’s success. Speaking on Youth Inc. with Greg Olsen, the former Philadelphia Eagles center said he feels proud of what his younger brother has achieved and believes their relationship helped both of them become better people. Jason also pointed to their Super Bowl LVII meeting as proof that even a painful loss could not change how he felt about Travis.Jason Kelce says Travis Kelce’s success never caused resentmentJason Kelce was asked directly about whether Travis Kelce’s success could ever create resentment between the brothers. His answer was simple: no.“I think we’ve both been very successful,” Jason said on Youth Inc. “So, I don’t think that there’s ever been a moment where, like, he can have as much success as he wants in life, and I will be nothing but happy. There’s no resentment because I feel like I’ve maximized what I’ve been given and what I’ve been dealt.”Jason explained that their success has always been connected to the way they pushed each other while growing up. Rather than seeing Travis as someone he needed to beat, he viewed his younger brother as one of the people who helped shape him.“I think that we’ve both become the people, teammates, and men that we are largely due to us, how we challenged each other growing up, how we loved each other, and all of these things have helped make us into the men we are today,” Jason added.That feeling was clear after Super Bowl LVII in 2023. The Eagles lost 38-35 to the Chiefs, giving Travis his second Super Bowl title while Jason walked away without another championship. Still, when the brothers met on the field after the game, Jason hugged Travis and told him to celebrate with his teammates.Jason later became emotional when his mother, Donna Kelce, hugged him. Even then, his focus remained on Travis and the moment his younger brother had just experienced.Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce built success without rivalryJason’s own career gives him plenty to be proud of. He spent all 13 NFL seasons with Philadelphia, earned seven Pro Bowl selections and six first-team All-Pro honors, and helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LII. He retired in March 2024.
