'I Ain't Going to Lie,' Seahawks Star Wanted to Limit Kenneth Walker's Stats in Revenge Game

Kansas City Chiefs star running back Kenneth Walker III didn't have the revenge game he wanted against his former Seattle Seahawks squad in Sunday night's 20-3 loss.
After entering the game with a league-leading 665 rushing yards, Walker was limited to a season-low 36 yards on 14 carries as the Chiefs suffered their first loss of the year. His return to Seattle marked the first time that a Super Bowl MVP played against his former team the following season.
Walker's former Seahawks teammates admitted that it was the team's goal to hold him in check.
"I ain't going to lie, I did," Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori said of wanting to limit Walker's production, per ESPN's Nate Taylor . "I definitely did want to hold him under 100 [yards]. I don't really listen to all the media noise, but that was my motivation. I know a lot of dudes on the defense, that was their motivation, too, to stop him under 100 and play lights out on defense. I think we did that."
Seattle has now gone 36 consecutive games, including the playoffs, without allowing a 100-yard rusher. After the matchup, Walker headed straight to the Chiefs' locker room inside Lumen Field without greeting his former teammates.
"S--t, we lost," Walker said, explaining his decision. "I was frustrated. That's about it. I [saw] them over there celebrating and s--t. That's about it."
The defending champion Seahawks (4-3) will try to keep the momentum going in another primetime matchup in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears (5-2) on Monday Night Football .
