The NFL's crackdown on touchdown celebrations has claimed another player, but Kyle Juszczyk 's family isn't exactly taking the league's latest fine seriously.

The league fined the San Francisco 49ers star $14,926 for what it called an "offensive demonstration" during the team's Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins .

The league reportedly viewed Juszczyk's celebration as an imitation of chugging a beer and deemed the gesture inappropriate. There was just one problem: Juszczyk's nickname is "Juice," and he says he wasn't pretending to drink alcohol.

Juszczyk's wife, fashion designer Kristin Juszczyk, quickly responded to the fine on Instagram.

"His name is Juice. He's drinking Juice. He just has a broken finger, so he can't bend it… but he can still catch touchdowns," Kristin wrote on Instagram. "The irony of this is hilarious bc if you know Kyle, he barely drinks alcohol. Leave my garden King alone!"

Kristin even shared several Instagram stories showing Kyle and his friends recreating his signature juice-drinking celebration, noting that he's been doing it for years.

The couple later took the joke to TikTok, where they filmed themselves slicing and squeezing fresh oranges into a cup.

They captioned it, "A $14,926 glass of orange juice," taking a sly jab at the fine slapped on Juszczyk.

Juszczyk also addressed the fine while speaking to reporters in Santa Clara, explaining that the celebration honored his nickname.

"I don't know how else to say it: I wasn't drinking beer in my celebration," Juszczyk said . "I think you guys all know my nickname is 'Juice.' I have Juice on my pads. The stadium yells 'Juice' when I catch the ball."

He added that drinking juice has been part of his celebrations for years, which made the fine even more surprising.

Juszczyk even leaned into the controversy before meeting with reporters. He placed a beverage container on his locker shelf with "NOT BEER" written across it in bold marker. Next to it, he displayed a thigh pad with a juice-box design.

NFL Celebration Fines Extend Beyond Kyle Juszczyk

The NFL's decision comes amid a broader crackdown on celebrations the league considers inappropriate.

Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown said the NFL fined him four times, at more than $14,000 per violation, following the game against the Buffalo Bills .

The NFL also fined Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Matt Goncalves for a beverage-related gesture, and fined Cincinnati Bengals stars Ja'Marr Chase $29,852 and Tee Higgins $59,704 for multiple instances of their celebratory arm gesture.

Juszczyk has officially appealed his $14,926 fine, meaning the penalty remains under review.
