John Harbaugh Tackled Malik Nabers Before Game, Jaxson Dart Confirms in New Video After Giants' Win

New York Giants coach John Harbaugh took added measures to make sure wide receiver Malik Nabers would be mentally prepared for his return to the field.

Nabers and Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart confirmed Harbaugh "tackled" the third-year wideout during walkthroughs:

The 2024 Pro Bowler caught six passes for 69 yards in his first regular-season contest since suffering a torn ACL last year. He helped the Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys 28-20.

Nabers' status was uncertain until the day of the game. He said he advised his family not to make the trip to MetLife Stadium in case he was ruled out at the last minute.

The dynamic receiver is probably shaking off the rust a bit. For Dart, simply having him back was a big step.

Week 1 was an encouraging performance by the Giants offense as a whole. Dart went 23-of-29 for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Cam Skattebo, who was also returning from a major injury, ran for a game-high 81 yards and one score.

The Harbaugh era kicked off in emphatic fashion.
