That's a wrap on Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs ran all over the Denver Broncos for a 31-10 win on Monday night to close out the first week of regular-season action, with Kenneth Walker III leading the way in his debut for KC.A number of teams are trying to figure out what went wrong during Week 1 defeats, while others are looking to build on their opening game successes. While navigating their preparations for Week 2, many teams are also trying to deal with injuries coming out of the weekend and looking for solutions. Among the biggest risers in our Week 2 NFL power rankings are the San Francisco 49ers, who climbed 11 spots after handily defeating the Los Angeles Rams 27-7 in their season opener in Australia. The Rams’ pain didn’t end with their Week 1 beating by the 49ers, either, as they’ll be without DE Myles Garrett for at least four games after he had to undergo a knee procedure. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have tumbled down the power rankings after Monday night’s embarrassment, where quarterback Bo Nix tossed just 131 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception to complement his three fumbles against the Chiefs. Ouch. Some players who were injured in Week 1 have hope they will be back for Week 2, like Ladd McConkey of the Los Angeles Chargers. The wide receiver exited Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals with a rib injury. Head coach Jim Harbaugh labeled him day-to-day. Zay Flowers left the Baltimore Ravens' game with a hamstring issue. He, too, is day-to-day and his injury is reportedly not considered serious.New Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray also took a scary hit in his debut for the team, exiting Sunday's win with a concussion, replaced in the lineup by backup Carson Wentz.Follow along with Yahoo Sports for the latest NFL news, injury updates and more coming out of Week 1.
