Final voter list in UP to be published on Jan 4, 2027

Lucknow: Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for the special summary revision of electoral rolls across all Assembly constituencies in the state, with the final electoral rolls scheduled for publication on Jan 4, 2027.Chief electoral officer (CEO) Navdeep Rinwa said on Thursday that the revision would be conducted with Jan 1, 2027, as the qualifying date for determining voter eligibility.According to the schedule, the rationalisation and reorganisation of polling stations will be completed by Nov 2, 2026, while the draft electoral rolls will be published on Nov 12.Voters will have one month, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, to submit claims and objections regarding the inclusion, deletion or correction of names in the electoral rolls.The electoral authorities will examine and dispose of all claims and objections by Dec 28, following which the final electoral rolls will be published on Jan 4, 2027.Rinwa said meetings with recognised political parties would be organised at both the state and district levels to explain Election Commission’s guidelines and revision procedures.District election officers have been instructed to make the necessary arrangements and ensure compliance with the prescribed schedule.The exercise aims to update electoral rolls ahead of the assembly elections, ensuring that all eligible voters are included and necessary corrections are made before the final publication.You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Lucknow | Silver Rate in Lucknow | Bank Holidays in Lucknow | Public Holidays in Lucknow | Lucknow AQI | Weather in Lucknow | Petrol Price in Lucknow | Diesel Price in Lucknow | CNG Price in Lucknow | LPG Price in LucknowStay updated with the latest Lucknow news.
