Shanahan Jokes 49ers Are in 'Future' in Australia While Declining to Talk Injuries Before Rams Game

Kyle Shanahan is embracing the vastly different time zone his team will be playing in this week.

The San Francisco 49ers head coach was asked for an injury update during his press conference, and he joked that he didn't have to give an injury report yet because the team is "technically in the future" being in Australia this week.

The 49ers take on the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne on Thursday, but the game will technically be on Friday. Kickoff is at 8:35 p.m. ET, or 10:35 a.m. local time.

Clearly, Shanahan is using the time zone confusion to his advantage. Whether it will give the Niners an edge over the Rams remains to be seen.
