Meyers turned one of his two targets into a 32-yard touchdown as Jacksonville put Cleveland away early in the second half. He's 39th among receivers in PFN's Week 2 rankings, back in a matchup where he posted a 22.9% target share in Week 16 last season. For me, Meyers is a matchup-reliant depth piece, more flier than true starter.
Should You Start or Sit Jakobi Meyers in Week 2?
Meyers pulled down a 32-yard touchdown pass from a scrambling Trevor Lawrence early in the third quarter as the Jags essentially put the Browns out of their misery with plenty of time to spare.
Two targets on 20 routes isn't great, but at least he paid off your trust with a big play. He posted a 22.9% target share against Denver in Week 16 of last season, and I think he has a chance to see similar usage this time around.
For me, Meyers is a matchup-reliant depth piece. I like him more than Brian Thomas Jr. in this specific spot, but he's still floating in the WR35 range, and that makes him more of a flier than a true starter in most situations.
Where Does Jakobi Meyers Rank Amongst Other WRs in Week 2?
Compare him against the rest of the position in PFN's Week 2 Wide Receiver Rankings .
