T.J. Watt’s highlight-reel pick-six vaults Steelers to Week 1 win

It was the T.J. Watt show for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

He was everywhere on defense, finishing with four total tackles, two sacks, and an interception returned for a touchdown.

His pick-six was especially absurd and helped the Steelers defeat the Atlanta Falcons 20-13. Early in the fourth quarter, with the Steelers up 13-10, Watt jumped and intercepted a Cooper Rush pass. He fell to the ground but wasn't touched, then got up and ran into the end zone for a touchdown.

It's a special play made by a special player. It's what Watt can do as a gamebreaker.

Per ESPN Insights , Watt joins Julius Peppers as the only two players with 100 sacks and 10 interceptions since sacks became an official stat in 1982. He's been one of the best pass rushers in the NFL since he came into the league in 2017, and that's not changing anytime soon.

T.J. Watt helps Mike McCarthy get his first win

Sunday's win was Mike McCarthy's first win as head coach of the Steelers. He was hired to replace Mike Tomlin during the offseason after Tomlin stepped down.

Watt will try to help the Steelers get off to a 2-0 start next Sunday when they travel to Foxborough to play the New England Patriots . They'll play a Patriots team that will be without star wideout A.J. Brown after he sprained his ankle on Wednesday.
