Football season is officially here! So here is our latest 2027 NFL mock draft, covering the entire first round.

· 1,225 words

The NFL preseason is now in the books, so the next time you see your favorite team play, it will count as real, authentic, genuine football. It will not be a football like substance. Yesterday was week zero of college football, and kudos to the NCAA on that, as no other sport has a "week zero."

So wear your Billy Corgan/Smashing Pumpkins shirts in celebration of that. Football season is officially here! So here is our latest 2027 NFL mock draft, covering the entire first round.

Click the player's name, where highlighted, for a link to a feature on that specific prospect.

1. Miami Dolphins , Arch Manning , QB, Texas

If you thought the hype for him last football season was massive, well, get ready, because even more hoopla is coming up this term.

2. Arizona Cardinals, Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State

Best overall prospect, regardless of position, in this class. The OSU = Wide Receiver U tradition continues.

This is a classic case of someone who benefited greatly from getting to play in the NIL era . He still gets paid handsomely while staying in school, and at the same time, keeps grow and developing. In addition to his elite level on-the-field traits, Moore seems to also have great character off of it.

His work in raising awareness for mental health issues, and his remarks about what he learned during his trip to Japan convey the high level of leadership skills that he possesses.

4. Cleveland Browns Colin Simmons, EDGE, Texas

Brownies could clearly use a new edge, to replace the departed Myles Garrett

5. Tennessee Titans, Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina

Another key piece added to the major rebuilding project in Nashville.

6. Las Vegas Raiders, Omarion Miller, WR, Arizona State

Vegas will grab a top flight receiver, to pair with QB Fernando Mendoza, somewhere in the early portion of this draft.

7. Atlanta Falcons, Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas

Given how we have three Longhorns going in the top seven, is Texas back? Finally? And do we actually mean it this time?

8. New Orleans Saints , Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame

Our first off-script pick, Saints' primary need is edge rusher, but there is no one rated high enough on the big board to go here. So we see them going best player available.

9 Carolina Panthers , Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU

They have selected offense in the first round, five straight years. Why not make it six?

10 Pittsburgh, David Stone, DT, Oklahoma

Steelers are looking to rebuild are on the D-line, and if Stone falls to then here, they should nab him.

11 NY Giants, Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

Big blue definitely needs some help in pass defense.

12. Washington Commanders , Cam Coleman, WR, Texas

Giving Jayden Daniels another major weapon to work with would help him reach his full potential. And if/when that happens, we'll truly see how far he could carry the Commanders.

13. Minnesota Vikings , Julian Sayin , QB, Ohio State

The Vikings are ready to move on from JJ McCarthy, as Kyler Murray was named the starter for this season. He might just be a stop gap solution though. #JustSayin

14. NY Jets via the Indianapolis Colts, Tae Johnson, S, Notre Dame

Gang green didn't record an interception last season, so they need to focus on finding a playmaker in the secondary.

15. Jacksonville Jaguars, KJ Bolden, S, Georgia

This seems like a perfect fit all around- fills team need and gets picked within the range that he's slotted.

16. NY Jets via Dallas Cowboys, Justin Scott, DL, Miami

Jets have so many needs...good thing they have three first rounders in 2027.

17. Cincinnati Bengals, Zabien Brown, CB, Alabama

With pending free agents at the corner position, Cincy needs to plan ahead.

18. Chicago Bears, Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss

No matter where they'll be running the football- Hammond, IN or Arlington Heights, IL or still on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Monsters of the Midway could use an upgrade at tailback position.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers , CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

It's a contract year for Baker Mayfield, and if he does indeed walk, then the Buccos need a new franchise QB.

20. Houston Texans , Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson

Brown looks poised to have a big season and boost his stock.

21. Dallas Cowboys via Green Bay, Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana

Maybe the next blue chip prospect that the great Curt Cignetti will coach into a high first round talent?

22. Denver Broncos, A'Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon

This is a name to keep an extra eye on- he should, at least in theory, shoot up the board during the season.

23. Detroit Lions , Drew Mestemaker , QB, Oklahoma State

Yes, we're thinking the Lions might soon max out on the Jared Goff era. And once that window closes, they'll need to move on.

24. New England Patriots, Kenyatta Jackson, EDGE, Ohio State

A major disruptive force, who announces his presence, with authority, in opposing backfields.

25. Philadelphia Eagles, K.J. Duff , WR, Rutgers

Philly needs to find an A.J. Brown replacement. Huff had a big 2025, which included a viral one-handed grab against PSU and a 240+ yard performance against Purdue. In an exclusive with The Sports Bank , Duff discussed the NFL stars he models his game after:

"If I turn on the NFL film, I like to watch Mike Evans. One of the most consistent receivers ever, and Drake London as well. I think the body frame, body type. I enjoy watching him."

26. L.A. Chargers, Will Echoles, DT, Ole Miss

He may not fall this far down the board, but if he does, you can't pass him up.

27. San Francisco 49ers, Ryan Coleman-Williams , WR, Alabama

This is our first real wild card, high risk/reward pick.

28. Kansas City Chiefs, Jeremiah Johnson , TE, Oregon

Could Oregon produce the first tight end off the board in back to back seasons? Kenyon Sadiq was the first TE selected this past April and Johnson discussed what he learned from his predecessor.

"Just his drive for the game," Johnson said exclusively to The Sports Bank . "He just wants to get better at in every aspect of the game.

"That's from on the field to knowing the playbook to off the field to getting his body right to play the next play."

29. Seattle Seahawks, Matayo Uiagalelei, EDGE, Oregon

Reigning Super Bowl champions can go best player available.

30. Baltimore Ravens, Kade Pieper, C, Iowa

They badly need a new center since Tyler Linderbaum left. Why not go back to the same well (the University of Iowa) where they got Linderbaum? Pieper is the highest rate prospect at the position.

31. Buffalo Bills, Austin Siereveld, OG, Ohio State

Bills are going to need to rebuild depth on the interior of the O-line.

32. Cleveland Browns via L.A. Rams, Drake Lindsey , QB, Minnesota

They shouldn't add a new QB. They don't need one. However, a NFL mock draft is more about what you think could happen; instead of what should happen. At 6-5, 230, Lindsey has ideal size for a QB at the next level.

He was extremely efficient and effective in his first full season last year, and should take a leap forward this year.
