Fights have run rampant during NFL joint practices over the past few weeks, and Matt LaFleur is ready for anything as the Green Bay Packers have a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals.

He joked that he'll fight his brother, Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur, if it comes to it.

"If there's an issue, I'm going to tell the guys, 'Hey, you come tag me in. They can tag in my brother. And we'll throw down on the 50,'" Matt LaFleur told reporters Monday.

Those comments didn't go unnoticed by Mike:

Matt LaFleur is entering his eighth season as the head coach of the Packers, while Mike LaFleur will make his head coaching debut for the Cardinals this season. Matt will, of course, look to pick up a win against his brother in a preseason game on Friday, but he also said he'll be cheering Mike on this year.

"I think it's going to be pretty special, but at the end of the day, we're just looking to try to get good work on both sides," Matt said. "Certainly, always going to prioritize the Green Bay Packers but if there is another team in the National Football League that I'll be rooting for, it will be the Arizona Cardinals."

The Packers have made the playoffs in all but one season since Matt LaFleur took over. Mike LaFleur, who spent the last three seasons as the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams, is hoping to find similar success in his new role.
