Colts coach Shane Steichen was asked about replacing QB Daniel Jones; here's what he said
Colts QB Daniel Jones turned in another poor performance, here's what coach Shane Steichen said about replacing him after Sunday's loss to Vikings
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones turned in another poor performance in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Vikings , completing 13-of-22 passes for 108 yards with no touchdowns and a game-ending interception. He also took four sacks.
But Colts coach Shane Steichen said he has no plans to replace Jones as the starter.
"No, I haven't thought about a quarterback change," he said in his postgame news conference. "I have a ton of faith in Daniel. Our game plan was to go in and run the football and obviously, at the end, he had the interception; that happens."

Steichen acknowledged the pass game "wasn't where we wanted it." Backup quarterback Anthony Richardson , who was charged with marijuana possession on Monday, Oct. 19, has not thrown a pass in a regular-season game since suffering a serious, freak eye injury prior to a game on Oct. 12, 2025.
