NASCAR Cup Playoffs Point Standings and Updated Schedule After 2026 Kansas Results

Kyle Larson used a late pass to claim his second win in four races as part of the NASCAR Cup Series Chase.

Larson overtook Chase Briscoe to claim the victory at the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Larson received the checkered flag in front of Austin Cindric, Denny Hamlin and Briscoe.

The victory allowed Larson to open up a 27-point advantage on Hamlin in the NASCAR playoff standings.

Larson became the first driver to win multiple playoff races this season.

The No. 5 car driver was in control for most of the race. He led 235 of the 267 laps, but he needed to come from behind to win the race.

Larson utilized a late pass on Briscoe to re-take the lead and finish off his dominant day at Kansas.

Briscoe was the only other driver to lead more than 10 laps on Sunday. He tried to hold on to first, but Larson was too much for him to hold off.

Briscoe eventually dropped back to fourth place after Cindric and Hamlin passed him over the final few laps.

Larson now owns a 27-point advantage over Hamlin, the regular-season points champion, in the playoff points standings.

Christopher Bell in third place is the only other driver within 50 points of Larson. Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney and Ty Gibbs are within 100 points of the No. 5 driver.

A trip to Las Vegas is up next for the Cup Series. Hamlin was the spring winner at Las Vegas earlier this season.

Larson did lead 62 laps of the spring Vegas race, so he will be a threat to win once again in his attempt to balloon the playoff lead with six races to go.
