In a newly created role, Alexa will work across Sky Sports' social channels, live Formula 1 programming and Sky Sports News, bringing fans closer to the personalities, stories, and moments that make Formula 1 one of the world's most compelling sports.

Her appointment comes as Formula 1 continues to attract a broader and more diverse audience, with younger fans and women playing an increasingly important part in the sport's growth. Since becoming the home of Formula 1 in the UK and Ireland in 2012, Sky Sports has seen viewing among under-35s increase by 120 per cent, while its female audience has more than doubled. The 2025 season was also the most-watched in Sky Sports' history.

Alexa will help build on that momentum, creating content that reflects the evolving ways fans enjoy and engage with Formula 1, while making the sport more accessible and bringing audiences closer to the action. From the biggest stories in the paddock, to the personalities and rivalries beyond the race weekend, she will play an important role in connecting with both established fans and those discovering the sport for the first time.

As part of her role, Alexa will report from across the Formula 1 paddock and Sky Sports' live coverage, interviewing drivers, team principals, and other key figures from across the sport. She will join the Sky Sports F1 team in Brazil for the upcoming Grand Prix, where she will begin bringing fans closer to the action.

Alexa Rendell, F1 Multimedia Journalist, said : "I'm really thrilled to be joining the Sky Sports F1 family. Formula 1 has always been my first love, and Sky has been part of my journey in the sport since I was a teenager, when I got my first taste of the industry through its access events. To now be joining the team feels like a really special full-circle moment.

"I can't wait to get stuck in from Brazil and tell the stories that make this sport so incredible. With a new generation of fans coming into the sport, I'm really looking forward to helping connect with those audiences and sharing F1 in fresh and engaging ways."

Billy McGinty, Director of F1 at Sky Sports, said: "We're delighted to welcome Alexa to the team. She is a rising star in motorsport broadcasting and has an instinct for connecting with audiences. Formula 1 is evolving, with more people than ever discovering and connecting with the sport, and it's important that our coverage evolves too - finding new ways to tell the stories and bring fans closer to the personalities and moments that make F1 so compelling."

Alexa joins Sky Sports with experience as a creator, reporter, and presenter across a broad range of motorsport, including Formula E, the FIA World Endurance Championship, Extreme E, and F1 Academy.

Sky recently agreed a new long-term partnership with Formula 1, securing its position as the home of the sport in the UK and Ireland until the end of the 2034 season. In the UK and Ireland, Sky and NOW are the only places to watch live coverage of every practice, qualifying session, Sprint, and Grand Prix.
