The NASCAR Chase moves to the gateway to the west.

The Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sept. 13 at World Wide Technology Raceway is the second of 10 races in the Chase.

Denny Hamlin enters the day with the points lead, 12 points ahead of Southern 500 winner Christopher Bell.

After issues at Darlington, William Byron is 114 points behind Hamlin and needs a strong run of results to get back into the championship battle.

Joey Logano is on the pole, with Kyle Larson on the outside of the front row.
