Caleb Williams injury update gives Bears reason for optimism
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams went down with a hamstring injury in Week 2.
The Chicago Bears were fed a healthy dose of humble pie in Week 2, losing to the Minnesota Vikings , 9-3, after a 59-point performance in the season opener a week ago. But even worse for the Bears was an injury to star quarterback Caleb Williams .
Williams went down with a hamstring injury on Sunday afternoon, and was unable to return. He is set to undergo further testing on Monday to determine the full extent of his injury.
While we wait for an official update from the team, there were some positive signs in the locker room following the game.
According to eye witnesses, Williams was up and "walking around " walking around in good spirits ."

Ian Rapoport of ESPN and the NFL Network shared the latest on Williams after Sunday's massive injury scare, writing along with Bears insider Adam Jahns.
Jahns revealed, "Williams came through the locker room while the media was present. He was walking under his own power, no crutches or anything , maybe a slight limp."
No crutches and walking under his own power is a positive sign for Williams, but we will not know more until the team evaluates him further on Monday afternoon. If he avoids any long-term injury, it's a major win for the Bears who were making massive strides in the right direction during the offseason and training camp.
