Alabama OC Ryan Grubb provides update on offensive line

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Alabama's offensive line still has a few question marks as fall camp nears its conclusion. The Tide rotated through several players up front in 2025, specifically at left guard.

According to offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, the offensive line's five starters are almost set.

"I think we're close," Grubb said. "We're right to game week, and it's been pretty consistently the same five."

He singled out the left guard battle as one that will come down to sophomore Mal Waldrep and junior Will Sanders.

"There's still a couple battles that are lingering. Specifically, Mal and Will have been trading off one reps," Grubb said. "Other than that, it's been pretty consistent."

Alabama opens its season at home against East Carolina on Sept. 5.
