Packers fan survey says Christian Watson will finish 2026 as top receiver
Watson has a slight lead in this week’s survey.
Matthew Golden, drops aside, is on a hot streak. He has hit the century mark in receiving yardage in two straight games and has nearly closed the gap on Christian Watson for the team lead in receiving yards. Watson still has a slight edge, but both players are over 500 yards on the season, making them the only receiver tandem in the NFL to have reached that mark after Week 6.
We asked Packers fans this week which player was the one they thought would finish the season as the team's leader in receiving yardage. While Golden got a substantial share of the vote, Watson still came out on top with 61% of the responses favoring him over Golden. The second-year pro received a solid 36 percent vote share, however, with "other" coming in at just three percent.
It seems that sportsbooks are extremely evenly split on who they expect to be the Packers' WR1 to be moving forward. For the Packers' Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions, FanDuel Sportsbook has the over/unders on receiving yards set extremely closely: Christian Watson's number is 74.5, while Golden is one yard short of that number at 73.5.
As for overall fan confidence, the win over the Cowboys has Packers fans continuing to tick upward in their general sentiments. After last week's confidence index grew back over 50 percent for the first time since early in the season, that number is now up to 76% with the Lions on deck.
