Tyrese Haliburton takes brutal ‘wittle feelings’ dig at Bucks fan after major U-turn on Pacers star

Tyrese Haliburton recently threw out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs home game against his hometown Milwaukee Brewers. This led to a wild social media tiff with a big Milwaukee sports fan.

Tyrese Haliburton was born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, only an hour and a half away from Milwaukee. Naturally, he grew up a fan of various franchises from the city like the Brewers and the Bucks.

Childhood fandom means little in the big leagues, though. When Haliburton faced the Bucks in the playoffs with the Indiana Pacers, he was pivotal in knocking them out in consecutive seasons.

This has earned him some animosity from his hometown fans. And after he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game on Thursday, the festering ill feelings boiled over on social media.

Nathan Marzion, a podcaster and popular Milwaukee sports fan, responded to a post on X about Hali throwing out the first pitch at Wrigley Field, saying, "If the Cubs lose, this is why."

Haliburton wasn't in the mood to be disrespected, and after Chicago secured a 2-1 win, wrote back saying, "We won, so what does that mean Nathaniel?"

Marzion replied, writing, "It means you're still the guy who went from a likeable hometown kid to someone who goes out of his way to be an a****** towards Milwaukee."

Hali's response was brutal, sharing pictures of Marzion's posts from back in the day that show he was a big believer in the superstar point guard.

The Pacers star wrote, "Is this how you talk about a*******? Or did I hurt your wittle feelings back to back years in April?"

The situation seems a bit sad, with hometown fans seemingly upset with Haliburton over things he cannot control. For his part, Hali doesn't seem particularly remorseful, either. Sports can be cruel.
